L-D366 retirees cement relationships - Wednesday, May 22, 2013 WHAT STARTED OUT as a loose network of retired Local D366 (Mississauga, Ontario) members that stayed in touch with one another has grown into something more, says Pierre Pommainville, who retired in 2009 from the Mississauga Cement Plant after 35 years. Pommainville organized a get-together for coffee back in 2010, and was pleased to see 15 retirees show up. That first event went so well that the group has more than doubled in size. The Leadership and Members of Boilermakers Local 13 would like to welcome you to our website where you can find a great deal of information about us. The Boilermakers of Local 13 work on projects of all shapes and sizes. Today's field construction boilermaker is a vital part of construction project team. We erect and repair boilers, pressure vessels, air pollution equipment, blast furnaces, water treatment plants, storage and process tanks, stacks and liners. A boilermaker could be involved in the installation of a giant superheater section in a large utility boiler, the erection of a 750,000-gallon water storage tank, the placement of a nuclear power plant reactor dome, the replacement of cyclones in a refinery catalytic cat-cracker or the construction of components on a hydroelectric power station.
The Boilermakers of Local 13 are vital to many industries throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware and it's because of our highly skilled, dependable, productive, safe, and quality minded workforce.
