Nuclear Equivalency Exam - March 10, 2015 - (12/3/2014)
For those Boilermakers who do not currently meet the criteria for referral to a nuclear facility in the Northeast--graduate apprentice, welder, etc.--a regional NMAP (Nuclear Mechanic Apprenticeship Program) equivalency exam will be administered at Local 13 on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The exam will start at 8:00 AM.
The NMAP equivalency exam is designed to test a member's knowledge of the trade and test questions are based on the current Boilermaker apprenticeship program. To be eligible to take the test, a member must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Current MOST drug test.
- 6,000 field hours (verified through BNF).
- Completed all MOST training programs: OSHA 10/30, Scaffold Erection, Steel Erection, and all four supplemental rigging modules.
